A GARDEN nursery which offers training to adults with disabilities is planning a day of spooky Halloween fun this month.

Northdale Horticulture, on Yafforth in Northallerton, will be running activities throughout the school half-term holidays from Monday, October 26.

Between 10am and 4pm there will be creepy trails, a spooky treasure hunt and craft activities. The week of activities will finish with a Halloween festival on Saturday, October 31.

Starting at 11am there will be pumpkin carving, a bouncy castle and refreshments and a Scare Zone. During daylight hours younger children can be guided through the spooky maze in the nursery’s polytunnels.

After dark, the tunnels will take on a scarier guise aimed at adults and older children, including lighting tricks, zombies and a “claustrophobia tunnel”.

Centre manager Simon Cross said: “We are hugely excited about this year’s event and the whole team is working extremely hard to make this year’s activities even bigger and better.

“We decided to extend the activities to run throughout half term, building up to the Halloween festival on Saturday, October 31, providing spooky fun for the whole family.”

Activities are individually priced with craft activities at £2.50 and the Scare Zone £1.
