A FARM which supplies organic vegetables to customers is hosting its own celebration of autumn with a pumpkin day.
Riverford’s Home Farm at Newby Wiske, near Northallerton, will be hosting a day of family activities on Saturday, October 24.
There will be pumpkin carving, tractor rides, face painting and food on offer. Live music will be playing throughout the day and there will be cookery demonstrations and organic wine and beers on offer.
“It’s also a brilliant way to celebrate the arrival of autumn and all the fantastic food that it brings,” said Peter Richardson, whose family have farmed at Home Farm for three generations.
It is one of four Riverford farms in the UK that supplies organic vegetables to customer’s homes.
