A SPECTACULAR and colourful selection of classic cars, motorbikes and tractors are set to go on display this weekend.

Enthusiasts will be presenting their much loved vehicles for the public to view at the annual Swainby Classic Car Show on Sunday.

Organiser Geoff Newton said: “This is our 11th show which started in conjunction with the Swainby History Society.

“It gets bigger and bigger each year and this time we are expecting 500 vehicles to attend from all over the North East.

"Hopefully, it will help to raise much-needed funds for our chosen charities.”

The event runs from 10.30am to 4.30pm, and in addition to the array of motors there will be trade stands, tombola, raffle, bric-a-brac stall, Teesside Hospice Vintage Wardrobe and more.

The show is staged behind the Black Horse pub and entry is £5 per person, with the under-16s getting in free.

Proceeds from the day will be donated to Teesside Hospice and Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

Both charities rely on donations to keep their services running– with the hospice needing to raise around £5,200 a day and the air ambulance needing around £12,000 a day.
