A SERIES of cycle safety events are being held in the Bedale area over the summer holiday periods.

The Local Safer Neighbourhood Team have organised the sessions, which will be taking place at a number of locations.

The team will be visiting each with the force’s mobile police office and will issue free “wrap-round” labels to help crack down on cycle theft in and advice on using Immobilise.com, as a free property register.

On July 27 they will be at the Kingfisher play area, Aiskew, from 10am to 11am; Bedale Hall from 11.30am t5o 12.30pm and Crakehall play area from 1pm to 2pm.

On July 28 they will be near the village hall in Snape from 9.30am to 10.30am; Scruton village green from 11.30am to 12.30pm and West Tanfield village hall from 1.30pm to 2.30pm.

The pattern will then be repeated on August 14 and, with times half-an-hour later, on August 15
