A FORUM bringing together the public and health representatives is visiting Leyburn for the first time.

The local clinical commissioning group is taking its latest Patient Congress to Tennants Suction centre on March 19, from 9.30am to noon.

Updates will be given on key local issues, including the Friarage Hospital in Northallerton and work underway to enhance local rural healthcare.

There will also be the chance to question local GPs and senior CCG staff and discussions about how the CCG can keep local people up to date with important health information.

The CCG’s lay chairman, David Williams, said: “We know how passionate people are about their local NHS, and the Patient Congress gives our local communities a chance to come together to talk about the issues that matter to them and get involved in the CCG's work.

Attendance at the free event must be booked in advance to help the CCG plan effectively. To reserve a place email the CCG at HRWCCG.HRWCCGenquiries@nhs.net or call 01609-767600.
