PEOPLE struggling with keeping to New Year’s resolutions are being invited to try hypnotherapy.
John Taylor, a hypnotherapist based at the Wellness Centre in Northallerton, is inviting people to see how the therapy might help them achieve their goals or stick to new resolutions such as stopping smoking, or making physical or mental improvements.
He said: "It is important to set realistic goals when making any type of change. Too often, we want to see immediate results and can become disheartened when they don't materialise. The good news is that, with a little adjustment, we all have it within ourselves to make those positive changes we want to see in life."
Mr Taylor is a fully qualified hypnotherapist with a diploma in Hypnotherapy and Counselling Skills and is a registered member of the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council, the National Council for Hypnotherapy and the National Hypnotherapy Society.
He said hypnosis can be a powerful tool to address attitudes towards smoking, food, stress, confidence and phobias.
Mr Taylor has recently established a clinic at the Wellness Centre in Northallerton and is holding open days on Wednesdays throughout January 2015. He is inviting anyone who is considering hypnotherapy to come along and find out more
