A TRIO of talented football players are proving to be on the ball after securing the chance to take part in prestigious trials.
Students Brooke Hodgson, Hannah Stephenson and Leah Dawson, all 14, will travel to Manchester later this year to show off their footballing skills to North of England selectors.
The girls are all students at Northallerton College in North Yorkshire and have their hopes pinned on playing football at the highest level possible.
During recent area trials, centre forward Leah, of Northallerton, found the back of the net 11 times aided ably by fellow forward Hannah, of Morton-on-Swale.
Brooke, of Northallerton, dominated the game in midfield, making the trio the perfect combination.
Now their fingers are crossed that their talent will be spotted by the selectors.
“We have all been playing football since we were little and love it,” said Leah. “We would like to play at the highest possible level and dream of wearing an England shirt.”
Northallerton College’s head of sport Anna Harvey said: “The girls’ passion for the game comes through clearly on the field and they prove to be a formidable element of any team.”
