AMATEUR artists have put together a dramatic painting for the Tour de France Grand Depart.
Members of Romanby Art Group, near Northallerton, decided to be topical for their annual exhibition. They put together a painting of the poster for the Grand Depart with each member doing an individual part of the painting which was then joined up.
Celia Coulthard, one of the organisers said:”I think we were all really pleased with the end result. It’s always tricky doing part of a painting, but it worked exceptionally well. The exhibition was really well attended and the paintings were also displayed at Hambleton Arts show in Northallerton Town Hall. We want to thank everyone who attended.”
The event raised £435 for Breast cancer care at Friarage hospital.
