A COMMUNITY pre-school is celebrating after turning its fortunes around with a glowing Ofsted report.
Catterick Village Pre-School was awarded outstanding in the latest Ofsted report, just years after it was deemed inadequate.
They received the damning report in September 2013, which rose to good in 2014.
Beverley Helsop took over in March 2015, along with a new deputy Sam Lawrie, and they are thrilled with the progress.
Ms Heslop, supervisor of the voluntary committee which runs the school, said: “We are very proud, and it has been the result of good teamwork between the school and parents.
“Recently, one of the committee volunteers even did a parachute jump to raise funds for the school.”
The money has been used to buy iPads and to install blinds for the decking area, meaning there is access to outdoor facilities all year.
