HEARTFELT texts written by parents about life experiences that can make becoming a mum or dad difficult, will be read out at a special event.
A group of parents from army and civilian families in the Catterick area have been working with a creative writing tutor to create texts describing what it means to become a parent.
On Friday, November 3 they will perform the work they have written at St Cuthbert’s Community Hall in Colburn and talk about their writing afterwards.
The Take Our Words For It event is billed as the chance to hear “powerful pieces of writing created by parents from local communities about life experiences that can make becoming a parent seriously hard” and was led by project manager Viv Schwartzberg.
It runs from 11.30am to 12.30am and lunch and transport to the event will be provided free of charge, along with a creche.
