A CAR was stripped of its bonnet, front door and other items.

North Yorkshire Police are appealing for information about the incident in Brompton-on-Swale, Richmond, which happened between midnight and 4.30am on April 6.

The thieves targeted a white Mitsubishi L200 and took its bonnet, front door and other items from its interior.

Offenders smashed the window before heading off in an unknown direction along Station Road.

The A1 was closed at this time and traffic was diverted through Brompton-on-Swale and police think it is likely a passing motorist may have seen the offender.

The Mitsubishi was parked at the edge of the owner’s driveway on Station Road at the time of the incident.

Police are particularly appealing for information from any motorists passing through Brompton-on-Swale, particularly if you see anyone acting suspiciously or any suspicious vehicles in the area.
