A SOLDIER who admitted to a violent assault which left a man needing almost £5,000 of dental work is to be sentenced next month.
Northallerton Magistrates’ Court heard that Darren Davis, 20, punched and kicked his victim’s face as he lay on the ground of a McDonald’s car park in Catterick Garrison on December 11 last year.
He was due to be sentenced at the court on Friday (March 17), but CCTV footage was still unavailable to the court despite a two-week deferral.
Magistrates said they felt unable to take the matter forward and sentencing was transferred to Teesside Crown Court on April 7 at 9.30am. Davis was granted bail until sentencing.
