STUDENTS from Teesside University worked with an organisation which helps the families of serving soldiers to modernise its systems and processes.

Catterick Garrison Community Group provides activities and social events for the families of 13,000 service personnel.

It needed a system where people could register and book online and because of security considerations, it had to meet exacting specifications.

So Teesside’s school of computing came up with a web–based application which met all the requirements of the group.

To celebrate the success,, Deputy Brigade Commander Colonel Andrew Hadfield presented a commemorative plaque to the university’s Dr Geoff Archer.
