WORK is underway on a new housing development in Colburn.
Mulberry Homes Yorkshire is building 32 new homes just off Catterick Road in Colburn, and will include two, three and four-bedroom homes available for sale and rent. These will include affordable homes designed to get people on the property ladder.
Homes on the development, which will be known as Beckfield, will be priced from £125,000 and reservations are now being taken.
Work began in October, with the first properties being ready to move in in September 2017. Mulberry Homes is using local contractor Swale Valley Construction to build the properties and this will be the company’s fourth development.
Andrew Garrens, head of development services at Mulberry Homes Yorkshire, said: “We are delighted to be starting work on the development. The homes will have large gardens and landscaping that will form part of the development."
