COUNTY DURHAM AND DARLINGTON

BARNARD CASTLE: Friday, November 4. Streatlam Farm. Gates open 5pm and fireworks will be followed by the burning of a Viking ship bonfire. Event finishes at 7pm. Tickets are £5 per adult, £3 for children and £14 for a family. To book, visit barnardcastlemeet.com or pay on the gate. A shuttle bus will operate from the Town Car Park (next to Morrisons) and Streatlam Farm. Disabled parking on site and recommended to book in advance.

BRANDON: Friday, November 4. Brandon Cricket Club, Brandon Lane. Open from 4pm, with fireworks at 7.30pm. Tickets for adults £3, children and OAPs £2, pushchairs free. Fireworks, fun fair, face painting, DJ, licensed bar and refreshments.

DARLINGTON: Sunday, November 6. Darlington Railway Athletic Sports and Social Club, off Brinkburn Road. Admission to the display is £2 with the site opening at 6pm. Fireworks start at 7.20pm.

CHESTER-LE-STREET: Saturday, November 5. Chester-le-Street Cricket Club on Ropery Lane. Gates open for food, drinks, children rides and stalls at 4.30pm with fireworks synchronised to music at 6pm.

CHESTER-LE-STREET: Sunday, November 6. Riverside Park. Gates open 5pm, fireworks at 7pm. Entry is £5, children under six are free.

CONSETT: Saturday, November 5. Consett Football Club. Gates open at 5pm, firework display at 7pm. Entry £2, children go free.

CROSS LANES: Saturday, November 5. Cross Lanes Organic Farm, near Barnard Castle. Gates open 6pm. Bonfire lit at 6.30pm and fireworks at 7pm. A free shuttle bus will run from Morrisons, in Barnard Castle, between 5.45pm and 6.45pm. BBQ, bar and hot drinks available. Tickets in advance £6 for adults, £4 for children and £18 for a family (two adults and two children) or £6.50 for adults, £4.50 for children and £20 for a family at the gate.

FRAMWELLGATE MOOR: Saturday, November 5. Framwellgate School, Newton Drive, Durham. in aid of St Cuthbert’s Hospice. Open from 6pm with fireworks at 8pm. Advance ticket prices from www.stcuthbertshospice.com: Adults £5, under 15s £3, under twos free. Family ticket £14. On the night ticket prices: £5 per person, under twos free. Fairground rides, music, food and refreshments.

GAINFORD: Saturday, November 5. Gainford village. Bonfire lit at 6.30pm and fireworks at 7pm. The event is free but a collection will be made.

NEWTON AYCLIFFE: Saturday, November 5. Oak Leaf Sports Complex. A children’s fairground will open at 5.30pm, beacon to be lit at 7pm and fireworks at 7.15pm. Wristbands available to residents until Thursday, November 3, from the venue.

PETERLEE: Saturday, November 5. The Pavilion, Helford Road. Children’s entertainment from 3pm and fireworks at 6.30pm, followed by live music. Admission free.

SEAHAM: Friday, November 4. Seaham sea front (best view and sound in front of Asda store). Free admission. Fairground rides, entertainment and refreshments.

SEDGEFIELD: Friday, November 4. Ceddesfeld Hall. Grounds open at 5.45pm, last admission at 6.20pm and fireworks at 6.30pm. Tickets £2.50 per adult, £1.50 for children aged 16 and under from Sedgefield Town Council Offices, Ceddesfeld Hall and Tickety-Boo.

SPENNYMOOR: Saturday, November 5, High Whitworth Playing Field. Fireworks countdown from 6.30pm. Free admission but tickets essential from Spennymoor Town Hall reception.

STANLEY: Saturday, November 5. Oakies Park, Stanley. The event starts at 5pm with the fireworks at 7pm. Free entry.

USHAW MOOR: Saturday, November 5. Ushaw Moor Cricket Club, Highfield Terrace. Starts 6pm. Adults £1, children 50p. Refreshments available.

NORTH YORKSHIRE

APPLETON WISKE: Friday, November 4. Appleton Wiske Recreation Field. Bonfire lit 6.30pm. Fireworks 6.45pm. Admission free but donations welcome to Appleton Wiske Pre-School. Refreshments and hot food available.

BEDALE: Saturday, November 5. Bedale Hall. Food and activities 5pm. Bonfire lit 6.15pm. Fireworks display 7pm. Free entry but donations welcome.

CATTERICK GARRISON: Friday, November 4. Catterick Sports Field, Plumer Road. Organised by the Army, there will be a military vehicle fire power display opening the event at 6.30pm, followed by a fireworks display set to music with flame jets. Free admission. There will be a fun fair, Guy-building competition and fireworks set to music. There will a children’s fancy dress competition, with prizes sponsored by Empire cinema and fun fair provided by Murphy's Fun Fairs and food vendors.

HUTTON RUDBY: Saturday, November 5. Hutton Rudby Cricket Club. Fireworks display from 6.15pm.

NORTHALLERTON: Saturday, November 5. Applegarth, Northallerton. Entertainment and food from 5pm. Bonfire lit 7pm. Fireworks display 7.30pm. Free admission. The event is organised by Northallerton Town Council and run by North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service. There will be collections for Northallerton Street Angels and the Rotary Club of Northallerton Mowbray. Applegarth long stay carpark will be sealed off from 1pm on November 5.

RICHMOND: Saturday, November 5. Richmond School. Gates to the Richmond Town Council event open 6pm and fireworks start 7pm. Entry free but there will be collection buckets for donations to the town council. No sparklers, pets or alcohol. Car parking is £2, but space is minimal.

RIPON RACECOURSE: Friday, November 4. Gates open to Ripon Community Bonfire Plot at 5.30pm. Bonfire lit 7pm. Fireworks start 7.30pm. Advance tickets; adults £5, children £3, family £12. On the gate; £6 adult, £3 under-16s. Advance tickets available from shops and businesses across town including local newsagents and Ripon Leisure Centre.

RIPON COMMUNITY CENTRE: Friday, November 4. Firework display and bonfire from 7pm. Gates open at 5.30pm.

THIRSK: Saturday, November 5. Thirsk Racecourse. Gates open 5pm with entertainment and small fair for children. Fireworks begin 7pm. Adult tickets £4 in advance or £5 on the gate. Family tickets £8 advance, £10 on the gate. Young people (5 to 16 years) £2 advance or £3 on the gate. Under-fives free. Live music, rides and other entertainment. Organised by the Rotary Club of Thirsk.

TEESSIDE

HARTLEPOOL: Saturday, November 5. Seaton Carew near the Clock Tower. The event, which has a sci-fi theme, will start at 4pm with a children’s funfair, then at 5pm there will be entertainment. The fireworks will start at 6.30pm. Free entry.

MIDDLESBROUGH: Saturday, November 5. Acklam Rugby Club, Saltersgill Avenue. Tickets are £5 for an adult, £3 for children and £10 for a family ticket. Gates open 7pm.

MARTON: Friday, November 4. Marton Cricket Club, Stokesley Road, Marton. Fireworks start at 7.30pm. Tickets, available at the gate, are £5 for adults, £3 for under 16s, and £10 for a family ticket (two adults, two children). There is no parking on site.

MIDDLESBROUGH: Saturday, November 5. Middlesbrough Rugby Club, Green Lane, Middlesbrough. The firework display and bonfire will start at 6.30pm. Tickets are on the door and cost £5 per adults and £3 per child. There are also discounts for families. Refreshments will be available.

REDCAR: Friday, November 4. Redcar Rugby Union Football Club, Mackinlay Park, Green Lane, Redcar. Tickets are £3 for adults, £7 for a family ticket and £1.50 concessions. Gates open at 6.30pm.

DORMANSTOWN: Friday, November 4. Corus Sports and Social Centre, Dormanstown. The display, at the South Avenue club, has a ‘spooky’ theme. The fun will start at 6pm, with fireworks from 7pm. There will also be a disco, small rides, and a fancy dress competition. Entry £1 at the gate.

SKINNINGROVE: Saturday, November 5. Fireworks at 7pm, and bonfire lit at 7.30pm. Parking in the village is limited and there will be road closures from 5.30pm. Free entry.

STOCKTON: Saturday, November 5. Riverside area of Stockton. Fireworks at 7.30pm with the site opening at 6pm. Entry is free.

THORNABY: Friday, November 4. Thornaby Cricket Club. Fireworks at 7.15pm. Entry £3 for adults, and £1 for under 16s (who must be accompanied by an adult). A family ticket (two adults two children) costs £6.

TYNE AND WEAR

BLAYDON: Saturday, November 5. Blaydon Rugby Club, Swalwell. Fairground opens at 5pm, bonfire at 6pm and fireworks start at 7.45pm. Admission £5 for adults, £2 for children and free for under 3s.

GATESHEAD: Saturday, November 5. Saltwell Park. One of the region’s biggest annual displays, which is expected to attract a crowd of 30,000. Live music and entertainment from Metro Radio. Doors open at 5pm for fairground and live music, bonfire lit and fireworks at 7.30pm. Admission £2, but tickets must be pre-booked via metroradio.co.uk

HETTON: Saturday, November 5. Hetton Lyons Cricket Club, Lilywhite Terrace, Hetton-le-Hole. Staged by Houghton Round Table, gates open at 6pm and fireworks start at 7pm. Adults £3 and children £2. Pay at the gate.

HOUGHTON: Saturday, November 5. St Michael and All Angels’ Church, The Broadway, Houghton-le-Spring. Bonfire lit at 6.30pm, followed by fireworks at 6.45pm. Admission £1.50 for adults and 50p for children, with no charge for toddlers.

HOUGHTON: Sunday, November 6. Houghton Rugby Club, Dairy Lane, Houghton-le-Spring. Gates open at 5pm for funfair and amusements prior to fireworks display at 7pm. Car parking at Kepier School site, in Dairy Lane. Admission is £2 for adults and £1 for children.

NEWCASTLE: Friday, November 4. City Stadium, Ouseburn. Event opens 6pm, Fireworks 6.30pm. Admission free.

SEABURN: Cliff Park, Seaburn, Sunderland. As part of Sunderland Illuminations, Sunderland City Council stages a free 15-minute firework display starting at 9.30pm. Free admission.

SOUTH SHIELDS: Sunday, November 6. Ocean Beach Pleasure Park. Ten minute display at 6.30pm followed by main display at 8pm. Admission free.

SUNDERLAND: Saturday, November 5. Ashbrooke Sports Club, West Lawn, Sunderland. The gates open at 6pm and the display start at 7.30pm, lasting approximately 20 minutes. Tickets are £6, but under-threes are free.
