RESIDENTS at a Catterick Garrison care home have given their facility a strong rating in a national survey.

Rosedale Care Home was given an overall performance rating (OPR) of 936 out of 1,000, comparing favourably with the national average score of 878.

Now in its fourth year, the Your Care Rating survey is the country’s largest and most authoritative survey of care home residents.

More than 20,000 residents in 963 care homes across the UK took part.

Each care home was given an overall score based on resident feedback across areas: staff and care, home comforts, choice and having a say, and quality of life.

Ruth Sunter, home manager at Rosedale, said: “It’s great that our residents value the care they receive at Rosedale.

“Most of our scores across the four themes are really positive, which shows that life for our residents is happy and fulfilling.

“While we’re really pleased with our scores, we obviously want to get even better.

“Families can also see at a glance which care homes are committed to raising standards and being transparent as they take part in the survey.”

Rosedale, operated by the Maria Mallaband Care Group, offers nursing and residential care for the elderly as well as specialist care for those living with dementia.
