FIRE crews were called to help when a bullock became stuck in a slurry pit on a farm in North Yorkshire.
The animal had stumbled into the pit on a farm in Kirkby Fleetham near Northallerton and was unable to climb out again.
Fire fighters from Richmond were called to assist the farmer with the rescue, which involved pulling out the frightened creature with the help of straps and a forklift truck.
After the bullock was pulled to safety, they then remained to help clean him with a hose.
