Van overturns on A1 at Catterick
ALL lanes of the A1 southbound have reopened after a van overturned near Catterick, North Yorkshire, earlier this morning.
The accident happened near the southbound entry slip road from the A6136 south of Catterick, at Marne Barracks at about 6.30am this morning (Tuesday, January 19).
It involved a Mercedes Sprinter van and a VW Polo car. The collision resulted in the van coming to rest on its side, blocking the road, and debris scattered across two lanes.
North Yorkshire Police say nobody was injured in the incident. The road was cleared and reopened by 8am.
