A WOMAN who took part in a body makeover challenge has made the final ten ahead of a grand final with a chance to win £5,000.
Khatheeja Lambert, 27, said although there will be others on the programme who will have lost more body mass than she has, she has lost a total of 19 inches from her body and has been inspired to train to become a personal trainer.
Mrs Lambert said she decided to embark on the 12-week Ultimate Sports Nutrition challenge after her soldier husband Steven was told his next posting would be in Cyprus, prompting a move for the family after seven years in Catterick Garrison.
She said: “After having my children – four-year-old Joshua and Piper, two – I hadn’t got my body back to the size and shape it had been.
“I wanted a challenge to get fit and found the challenge online. The body makeover can be anything – some people want to lose weight while others want to bulk up.
“I used to run a lot but I decided to try weight training and found that it has worked wonders for me.
“I used to think weight training would really bulk you up but it doesn’t – it just makes you toned and strong.”
