RESCUE: Man rescued from cab after lorry crashes into tree in Bedale
A MAN has been taken to hospital after the lorry he was driving crashed into a tree.
He was trapped inside his cab at Keepers Wood, Bedale, at around 3.50am on Tuesday morning, and had to be cut out by firefighters.
Crews from Bedale, Masham and Ripon used lighting, small tools, stabilisation equipment and a specially designed platform to gain access to the cab.
The driver in his 40s was left in the hands of the ambulance service and taken to hospital.
