A JUNIOR football team is dressed to impress on the training ground thanks to a new sponsorship deal.

The U14s team at Bedale JFC has player has received a brand new training kit and tracksuit jacket, thanks to a donation from homebuilder Taylor Wimpey North Yorkshire.

The £850 cash boost will keep the team warm this season, while still looking smart for both home and away matches.

Dave Chapman, head coach of the U14s team at Bedale JFC, said: “Each player is absolutely delighted with their new kits, and I have no doubt that looking like professional footballers will help them to improve their game.

“I have worked for Taylor Wimpey myself for a number of years, so I am delighted that it has chosen to support the team.”

Bedale JFC is run entirely by volunteers, providing football training and facilities to boys and girls between the ages of three and 17 years old.

Formed in 1981, it is a Chartered Standard Community Club aimed at promoting an enjoyable learning experience where children can develop their skills.

Debbie Whittingham, sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey North Yorkshire, said: “Sport participation has a hugely beneficial effect on children of all ages, so we believe its important that we offer our support.

“Bedale FC provides local children with some excellent local facilities. We wish the players all the very best in the current season, I’m sure Dave will keep us updated with their progress.”
