GENEROUS girl guides have donated more than 100 bags of goodies to people in their community.
Youngsters from girlguiding in Bedale worked together to make small gift bags and boxes over the festive period.
They attended the advent service at St Gregory’s church in Bedale to give out some of the bags and distributed others to the town’s meals on wheels service and other people the brownies thought would benefit.
Sue Price, unit leader, said: “‘The reason behind this was the promise all brownies, guides and senior section members take, which includes the line ‘to serve my community’.
“All sections enjoyed getting involved. It has been great to do these things and as leaders, we are very proud of the brownies, guides and senior section.”
