HAND and machine embroidery, felt-making and rag rugging will be just a few of the techniques on display when a North textile group holds its annual exhibition.
Snape Textile Group, formed in 1999 and with members from Durham to York, will hold its 12th exhibition in the Joiner’s Old Workshop at Laurel Grove, Snape, near Bedale, on Bank Holiday Monday, August 28, from 1pm to 4.30pm. Entry 50p.
It will feature contemporary and traditional items produced over the past year after a series of workshops including felted landscapes and bowls, floral collages, wire drawings and 3D grand designs.
The event coincides with the village’s annual fruit and flower show, an exhibition by the Snape Local History Group and the garden fete. Refreshments available in the Chapel Schoolroom.
