WAYWARD ducks are driving councillors and housing association bosses quackers and they have appealed for anyone who can come up with an answer as to what can be done to get in touch.
The ducks of Bedale have been causing problems for sometime, although previously their numbers decreased after many were found a new home in a village haven a few miles up the road.
They mostly congregate around a pond area at Tom Hall court, a complex for elderly people run by Broadacres Housing Association. But numbers have been growing and with the latest arrival of new ducklings it’s estimated there could be over 120 towards the end of the year.
Bedale Town Council and Broadacres are now appealing for help to decide what to do with the ducks after being approached by concerned residents.
