A NEW course of sports sessions, which aims to encourage disabled people to become more physically active, is coming to Bedale later this month.

Starting with a “come and try” event on Saturday, April 16 at the town’s leisure centre - the aim of the Multi Sports Club is to provide a variety of sports for people of all ages and abilities.

The club will then start on Saturday, April 30 and run until Saturday, June 11 with sessions running from 2pm to 3pm. The hour-long classes will cost £3 per session.

Parents, carers, supporters and guardians are welcome to attend. All sessions will be wheelchair-friendly and can be adapted to meet the needs of the individuals attending regardless of ability.

Booking is essential – contact inclusive sports officer Joe McKechnie on 01609-767261 or via joe.mckechnie@hambleton.gov.uk

*There are coaching and volunteering opportunities available at the club who are always happy to gain extra support for the sessions and would welcome anyone with an interest to get involved with the activities.
