AN ENGINEER found dead at work was a workaholic who had given no indication he intended to take his own life, an inquest was told.
John Nash, 57 of Leeming Bar, North Yorkshire, was found hanged by a colleague at agricultural machinery company Newquip Ltd, on the Leeming Bar Industrial Estate last November.
Mr Nash’s wife Michelle, told North Yorkshire coroner Michael Oakley he had told her the previous evening he would be going to work early the next morning.
She said her husband was a “quiet man who wouldn’t tell anybody anything” and although appeared to be losing weight, had insisted he was fine.
Mr Oakley told the inquest held at the Evolution Centre, Northallerton, it appeared to have been a sudden impulse. "Mr Nash has clearly given no indication he was going to take his own life, but I am satisfied that is what he did.”
