THREE fire crews attended a blaze involving a pair of curtains at Swinton Park Hotel.
The fire broke out on a half landing between the ground and first floor of the staff accommodation at the luxury hotel, near Masham, North Yorkshire, at 4.33pm today (Tuesday, May 12).
Two fire crews from Ripon and one from Bedale arrived by 4.49pm and extinguished the flames using a hose reel and breathing apparatus.
The curtains were destroyed while the surrounding wall suffered heat damage and the stairwell was affected by smoke.
Smoke detectors were fitted in the area and activated.
The last fire engine left the scene at 7.35pm.
