ORGANISERS of a music festival are calling on people to get involved and help make this year’s event bigger and better.

Bedale Acoustic Music Festival (BAMfest) is holding an open evening for volunteers on Tuesday, February 24 at Big Sheep Little Cow Farm in the town.

Volunteer co-ordinator Josh Waterton-Bailey said: “Volunteers are the lifeblood of the festival, without them we wouldn’t be able to make the festival happen.

"In exchange for a few hours of volunteering across the weekend, we will reward you with free festival tickets.

“We have organised this open evening to explain what is involved and give people an opportunity to meet the festival team and other volunteers.”

People are needed to assist from May 29 to 31 including helping to set up and clear venues, to steward on the festival campsite, work on the ticket desk and information points and sell merchandise and CDs.
