The A1(M) has reopened in both directions after two lorries were blown over on the road in North Yorkshire.
Both incidents happened last night - on the northbound carriageway close to Junction 50 near Thirsk while the second blocked the southbound carriageway between Junction 48 at Boroughbridge and Junction 49 at Dishforth.
The road was closed for several hours but was re-opened by 10.45am this morning.
Shortly after 11.15pm last night a number of other incidents were reported along a stretch of the A1(M) between Wetherby and the Ripon area.
Meanwhile, the A66 between Bowes, County Durham, and Brough, Cumbria, remains closed to high-sided and vulnerable vehicles due to the strong winds.
The A19 Tees Flyover was also been closed to high-sided vehicles by police.
