Lifestyle call
NORTH Yorkshire Police are reminding youngsters that there is still time to sign up for their Lifestyle project. New leader
THE new chair for the North Yorkshire Safeguarding Adults Board is Dr Sue Proctor, who succeeds Colin Morris following his death earlier this year. “Everyone in our community should have the right to live their life free from harm, and this principle underpins the work of the board,” she said.

A CHILLI cook-off competition is being held on July 15 to celebrate 50 years of Ravensworth Nurseries, near Richmond. The event runs from noon to 3.30pm, with people invited to bring a precooked chilli for judging at 1.30pm. The garden nursery is also officially opening its new retail area.
Library quiz
TEAMS of four are invited to join a fun quiz at Thirsk Community Library on June 30. There will be a raffle, winners’ prizes, drink and light refreshments. It costs £5 per person and starts at 7.30pm.
