TRADERS and visitors are being encouraged to share their love of their local market as part of a national campaign.
Hambleton’s markets in Bedale, Easingwold, Northallerton, Stokesley and Thirsk are taking part in the National Association of British Market Authorities (NABMA) initiative which is encouraging social media activity to promote markets.
Councillor Mark Robson said: “This year’s love your local market theme ‘Markets: Close to Your Heart’ reflects the importance of markets as the beating heart of communities across our district
“Our fabulous markets are important contributors to making our towns vibrant and we are keen to ensure they remain a key element of the market town experience for residents and visitors.”
Residents can share their experiences via twitter using the hashtag #LYLM2018.
