VICTIMS and families of those involved in the Manchester Arena terror attack last year are being given the chance of a day out at one of North Yorkshire's top attractions.

Flamingo Land Resort near Pickering and Goodwins Coaches have teamed up in order to arrange a special day out at the theme park and zoo.

Flamingo Land have donated up to 1,000 tickets for free entry on May 26, during the Bank Holiday Weekend while Goodwins will be providing the transport for them all free of charge.

Flamingo Land owner Gordon Gibb said: "We are very proud to be involved in the memorial of the awful terrorist atrocities at the Manchester Arena last year, which shocked the world.

"We are delighted to be hosting the families affected by this event and sincerely hope that we can put a smile on their faces when they are enjoying their visit to Flamingo Land."

The families will use around 20 coaches which will travel in convoy from Manchester to the resort.
