MUSICIANS from across the world and closer to home are descending on North Yorkshire for the Musicport on the Moors festival.
The event, from May 4 to 7, will take place in The Hut at Goathland and surrounding venues.
Musicport have also recently taken on the Old Reading Room in the village which will act as the festival office over the weekend and will thereafter become an affordable gallery/workshop space for local groups and artists.
Among the acts performing at the May festival are the Satteli Sisters from Switzerland and Avital Raz, the Jerusalem-born singer from Sheffield’s Rafiki Jazz.
There will also be a variety of workshops, award-winning food and drink stalls and dozens of musicians performing throughout the four days.
Organiser Jim McLaughlin said “We’re delighted with the festival line-up and the support of North York Moors National Park which has recently been negotiated.”
Tickets can be bought via eventbrite.co.uk or by phoning 01947-603475.
