AN online box office offering tickets for one of the most popular music festival's in the region opens next week.

Highlights of the Swaledale Festival include the Halle Orchestra, Brighouse and Rastrick Band, the Young' uns and the Apollo Saxophone Quartet. Organisers say the festival has an international line up encompassing world class music alongside poetry, comedy, puppetry, art exhibitions, family events and guided walks, with something for everyone.

Events take place across a large area of the Yorkshire Dales from village halls to churches and arts centre. It runs from May 26 to June 9 with ticket prices ranging from £5 to £30,and almost all of the events offering tickets for £3 for people aged under 25.

Other guests include the Aurora Percussion Duo, guitarists Craig Ogden and Gary Ryan, pianist Martin Roscoe, Sacconi String Quartet, the Dodo Street Band, violinist Jennifer Pike and Syrian musician Mauya Youssef .
