ONE of the nation’s best-loved classical vocalists has been announced as the headline act at an al fresco concert.
Castle Howard, near York, will welcome Lesley Garrett to its annual prom on August 18.
She will join over 120 performers including a 70-piece choir and the London Gala orchestra.
Guests are promised plenty of flag-waving and singing, with performances of Rule Britannia and Land of Hope and Glory, when thousands of lasers and fireworks will light up the sky.
Mark Harrison, creative producer for LPH Concerts, said: “We’ll be making further announcements, expect to see special guests, star soloists, support acts and much more.”
Tickets will go on sale at 9am on Friday (February 23) from www.lphconcerts.co.uk
