TWO men have been arrested on suspicion of theft.
North Yorkshire Police were alerted to a suspicious vehicle early this morning which was believed to be linked to the theft of a vacuum cleaner from the Cooperative store in Bedale.
Shortly after 10.50am, police were called by Tesco in Northallerton after two men attempted to steal a TV.
The 28-year-old and 31-year-old got in a vehicle matching the description of the suspicious vehicle sighted earlier in the day.
CCTV located the vehicle at the Tesco store in Thirsk, where the two men from Middlesbrough were arrested on suspicion of theft.
They remain in police custody.
