A WOMAN has suffered burns and a road has been closed during a bungalow fire in North Yorkshire.
The fire has left the building in Rillington with a badly damaged roof and smashed windows.
Firefighters are still at the scene of the bungalow, on Malton Road in the western edge of the village.
A fire spokesperson said that a female occupant has suffered cuts and burns and is with paramedics.
They added that police have temporarily closed a westbound lane of the A64.
The detached bungalow, which was described as being "well alight", is around 50m by 20m.
Two Malton fire engine crews and an 'aerial ladder platform' from Scarborough have been on site, as have police.
The first of four calls from people who saw smoke and flames coming from the building was received at 1.39pm.
