A YOUNG performer from North Yorkshire is to appear in a music video for former One Direction singer Harry Styles.
Grace Simpson, a member of Stagecoach Performing Arts Northallerton, has been cast in the star’s video for his new song Kiwi. It features children having a food fight in a school hall, before it is broken up by former One Direction star Styles.
It’s the first professional production for Grace, 9, from Northallerton, who has been a member of the performing arts school for three years.
Grace said: “The whole thing seems unreal to me. The costumes were unbelievable, and so was meeting Harry Styles.
“I knew I was doing a music video for his new song but I didn’t expect to actually meet him. I thought it was really funny when we had the food fight and got to throw cakes at each other!”
Rick Hyland, principal of Stagecoach Northallerton, said: “I’m so happy that Grace was selected for Harry Styles’ new music video, and proud of her energy in this performance.”
- Stagecoach Northallerton will be hosting a “discovery session” on December 2 for children to experience performing arts classes.
