CHILDREN grabbed their raincoats and wellies to take part in a BBC Countryfile Ramble in aid of Children in Need.
The youngsters at St Martin’s Ampleforth Pre-Prep and Prep School were joined by parents, staff and a very special guest in the shape of the chrity's mascot Pudsey Bear to take part in a ramble from Gilling Castle, where they are based.
They walked to the edge of the school grounds where they enjoyed hot chocolate and cookies before returning.
They raised more than £125 for Children in Need 2017.
The school's newly appointed head of pre-prep, Lucy Cruddas, who organised the ramble said: “We were delighted to see so many people supporting our ramble, especially Pudsey Bear himself.
“We are very proud to support this year’s appeal, which makes a real difference to children and young people who need it most.”
The ramble is one many fundraisers the school takes part in throughout the year.
