VOLUNTEERS are needed to help man the Citizens Advice Hambleton, Richmondshire and Selby and District services – especially at its Richmond office.

It deals with over 10,000 enquiries each year and needs more trained voluntary advisers to meet the ever-growing demand. No specific qualifications are needed as full training is given.

Spokesman Rachel Hunter said: “Volunteers in our organisation are an indispensable part of the service we give to people.

“They undertake all sorts of tasks, but most of them work in an advisory role. This could be providing advice and assistance by phone, email, webchat or face to face in the office at Newbiggin, Richmond or at one of our other venues throughout the districts."
