GUITARIST Willy Porter is to perform at a village hall as part of a programme of entertainment designed for all ages in the community.
The American guitarist has teamed up with jazz and blues vocalist and songwriter Carmen Nickerson for his UK visit and will be appearing at Hutton Rudby Village Hall on Saturday, May 6.
Chair of the Friends of Hutton Rudby Village Hall and Methodist Minister, Rev Graham Peacock is helping promote the event. He is an avid music fan and has brought good musicians to the village hall to enable people of all generations to get involved with their community.
He said: “Willy Porter has been to the village hall before and has amazed audiences with his incredible guitar playing, humour and insightful lyrics.
"This time he returns with Carmen Nickerson: her honeyed tones complement the smoothness of his voice. This is sure to be another amazing evening in the intimate surroundings of the village hall.”
- Tickets, £12, are available from Rev Peacock on 07981 260861 or from Janet Fawcett on 01642-701586. Doors open 7.30pm.
