A MAN was taken to hospital after he was found collapsed on a main road through the North York Moors.
North Yorkshire Police were called to the A171 at Ugthorpe Moor by the ambulance service at lunchtime on Friday after a member of the public found the man lying in the road.
Police closed the road to traffic at 12.37pm to allow paramedics to treat the man and it reopened shortly before 2pm.
The man, thought to be a cyclist or pedestrian, was taken to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough for treatment.
