TICKETS are about to go on sale for the annual Countryside Live rural show.

Thousands are expected to descend on Harrogate’s Great Yorkshire Showground for the event on October 22 and 23.

Sometimes known as the little sister of the Great Yorkshire Show, the event will boast animals galore and a host of hands-on activities.

Show director Charles Mills said: “The competitive classes, including for cattle, sheep and horses, are an important element, and the Search for a Talented Showjumper competition will again feature.”

New this year are alpacas which will feature in competitive classes and the finals of the Young Shepherd of the Year competition, organised by the Rare Breeds Survival Trust, will also be held.

Tickets go on sale from August 1. For details visit countrysidelive.co.uk
