A BED-and-breakfast in North Yorkshire has become the latest winner of Channel Four’s hit show Four in a Bed.
Newton House B&B in Knaresborough took the honours after a week-long battle with three other contestants.
Owner Denise Carter and her colleague Jackie Fennell had the task of visiting and judging the other properties as part of the format for the show.
“We had a super time during filming of the show, getting to know our fellow contestants and seeing their establishments was interesting and good fun,” said Denise.
“It was great to get such high scores and then to become the winner is fabulous. I have never won anything ever – not even a raffle.”
The programme’s format invites four sets of B&B owners to throw open their doors and take turns to stay with one another – and pay what they consider fair for their stay. The winner of the competition is the B&B that is judged to be the best value for money.
