AN elderly man has died after his car crashed into a bus in Scarborough last week.
The man, in his 70s, was driving the car with his wife when they were involved in a crash with a bus at Westborough, at around 12.45pm on Wednesday, May 4.
North Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses, and have confirmed the man was from the Merseyside area but are not yet able to identify him.
His wife was treated at the scene but her injuries are not believed to have been serious. There are not thought to have been passengers on the bus.
Anyone who witnessed the collision or the vehicles involved, and has not already spoken to police, is asked to phone 101, select option 2 and ask for the major collision investigation team, quoting reference number 12160077252.
