A WOMAN suffered a serious eye injury after being attacked by another female during a night out in York.
The 26-year-old victim was taken to hospital by ambulance after the assault in the early hours of Sunday, July 27, and will require further surgery to her eye.
The incident happened on Rougier Street between 12.30am and 12.45am.
The attacker was in her 20s, of slim build, with a blonde, bobbed hairstyle. She was wearing glasses and was dressed in a black cardigan and short skirt.
At the time of the assault, Rougier Street was busy with people enjoying a night out and officers are appealing to anyone who witnessed the assault or has any other information that could help identify the suspect, to contact them.
