A COUPLE who have raised £20,000 for a charity which provides home-based hospice care, hope to raise more money with a live music event in their barn.

Peter and Barbara Fall, of Grazing Nook Farm, Patrick Brompton, near Bedale, are putting on ‘The Barn that Rocks’ event at their farm on Saturday, June 6 from 7pm.

There will be three live performances from acts ‘1Two3Four’, Scott Adams and Sugartown, and prizes will be awarded for those who attend in the best fancy dress. There will be also be a bar and hot food.

Tickets, priced £12.50, are available from the Herriot Hospice Homecare online shop at www.herriothh.org.uk/online_shop; Grazing Nook Farm; the Richard III Hotel, Middleham; Andy’s Traditional Bakers, Leyburn; Crakehall Filling Station and Food Weighhouse, Bedale.

Christine Robinson, fundraising manager at Herriot Hospice Homecare, said: “Peter and Barbara Fall have raised over £20,000 for Herriot Hospice Homecare in the last four years. This is a massive amount for just two people and it has made such a big difference to the charity.

“We are hoping that as many people as possible buy tickets for their latest event.”
