A MOTORIST has been taken to hospital with suspected spinal injuries after two cars collided on a rural road in North Yorkshire.
Emergency services attended the incident on the road between Masham and Bedale near the Five Lane Ends junction at about 6.45pm this evening (Thursday, May 21).
The driver of one car suffered suspected spinal injuries and was freed from the wreckage by firefighters before being transported to hospital by road ambulance.
No-one else was injured in the accident.
