A NURSERY is celebrating 19 years since it was set up with an open day to show local people and prospective parents the facilities.

Bedale Day Nursery has been extended with funding from North Yorkshire County Council to provide an additional toddler room, with an additional 16 places where two year olds can thrive and develop before transition into pre school.

They have also expanded and provided improved equipment for the out of school and holiday club and invested in three new vehicles to transport children to and from school and on regular outings.

It is run by mother and daughter Irene Kassell and Maxine Cocks at a purpose built centre at Tutin road, Leeming Bar Industrial Estate.

Ms Cocks said:”We are very passionate about early years provision and have always ensured that we provide an enabling environment for all children who attend the nursery.”

The Open Day is on Saturday, May 16, from 10am to 2pm.
