POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a car collided with a police car and went on to plough into a bus.
The drama began late on Saturday night when a blue Peugeot 106 hit a stationary police vehicle on Globe Street in Harrogate.
Then at 11.55pm the Peugeot collided head-on with a black and red Harrogate and District bus on Knaresborough Road
The bus was carrying a number of passengers at the time but fortunately they were not injured.
However the driver of the bus, a 53-year-old man from Harrogate, sustained minor injuries. He was treated in hospital and later released.
The driver of the Peugeot, a 35-year-old woman from Harrogate was also treated for minor injuries and later released from hospital.
She has been arrested and charged with dangerous driving, failing to report an accident, failing to provide a specimen for analysis, driving without insurance and an MOT offence.
